This annual report was unique because it had two crucial components: a well-articulated styleguide that we had to adhere to and the need for it to stand out from the pack.  Our solution was to develop a concept that would reflect the national YMCA brand and mission, but still speak to the local impact of the YMCA network in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. By leveraging the idea and image of a tree, we were able to deliver a message and design that was unique and engaging, but stay within the national brand styleguide as instructed.
