Marines Magazine app for the iPad

Dave Dickson from the Adobe Digital Publishing blog sat down with Marines magazine Publisher Greg Reeder and Bates Creative Group Creative Director Seth Sirbaugh to hear about the Marine’s newest publishing outlet, Marines magazine on the iPad. Dickson’s interview also highlights Bates Creative Group’s first-time experience using Adobe Publishing Suite to create this stylish application.

Sirbaugh explains that designing with the Digital Publishing Suite was conveniently fast and easily understood, allowing for more focus on the design and creative storytelling that makes Marines magazine such a striking and innovative publication.

In the future, Marines magazine plans to further its reach through delivery on multiple digital platforms, including Android and mobile devices, tablets such as Motorola Xoom and Blackberry Playbook, and eBook readers such as Kindle and Nook. Bates Creative Group will continue to drive the cutting edge design and production of all print and digital editions.

The Marines magazine iPad app is available now in the iTunes App Store and all digital issues are available online, both are FREE to download.

  1. Heya this is kind of of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding knowledge so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
